POOL BARRIERS
The 2015 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code requires that all pools have a safety barrier in place to help prevent accidents and ensure a secure pool area. Depending on your local municipality, an automatic safety cover may meet this requirement on its own, or you may also be required to install a fence. We recommend checking with your local building department to confirm what’s needed for your specific location.
Automatic Safety Covers

Pool covers provide many benefits, including helping to reduce accidents and their severity. Pool covers also prevent debris from falling into the water, shields your pool in cool or inclement weather, reduces your heating costs, lowers your insurance costs, and provides a priceless sense of security knowing your children, grandchildren, and pets are protected from accidentally entering your pool unsupervised.

Latham Pools offers 10 standard fabric colors to help you design a pool cover to match your style. Colors include: Navy, Royal Blue, Light Blue, Aqua, Forest Green, Tan, Mocha, Gray, Charcoal, and Black.
Automatic pool covers can be effortlessly opened or closed at the touch of a button. With their unobtrusive design, auto-covers deliver the ultimate in safety, elegance, and convenience.
Auto-covers work with the help of a few key elements, specifically tracks and a small effiecent motor. Typically, on one end of the pool, the cover material will roll up and be stored when not in use. When the switch is activated, the motor turns on and the electric pool cover automatically rolls across the pool area with the help of the two tracks on either side of the pool. These tracks are built inside the lip of the pool for a seamless design.
Winter Covers

Latham offers a range of winter pool covers including mesh pool covers for maximum drainage. All mesh pool covers can be custom designed to fit any size or shape of pool precisely, including any special features such as raised walls, diving boards, stairs, and rails.

Mesh safety covers are reliable, safe, and highly durable. Latham safety covers are constructed with interlocked and double overlapped seams to improve weight transfer from the cover materials to the seams and webbing.
Mesh safety covers for winter are ideal to protect your pool during colder months. They allow precipitation to pass through easily, which eliminates the need for a cover pump, and allows water to drain into the pool during the winter. In addition to their durability, mesh pool covers are also lighter and easier to manage than other pool covers - making pool management easier than ever before. Latham offers three tiers of mesh winter covers: 9000MX Max Shade Mesh, 7000MS High Shade Mesh, and 5000M Standard Mesh.
Pool Fencing
Pool fencing is a key element in creating a safe, code-compliant pool environment — and with today’s options, it can be both functional and stylish.

We typically install standard aluminum pool fencing, which offers a clean, low-maintenance look with long-term durability. Aluminum fences are rust-resistant, sleek in design, and available in a variety of heights and styles to match your outdoor aesthetic. These fences are installed around the pool perimeter and include self-closing, self-latching gates to meet most local safety regulations.
While aluminum is a popular choice for its balance of safety and style, we can customize your fence to suit your vision — whether that’s decorative wrought iron, wood for a natural feel, or even modern glass panels for a more open, upscale look.
